It is one of the richer natural regions of Argentina, particularly with the selva Misionera, which is called selva Paranaense outside of the country. The infrastructure created to welcome tourists is called « the space of the falls » of the park. In 2001, walkways and ways facilitating the access to the most attractive bridges have been inaugurated and should aim at reducing the downgrading of the surrounding environment. The touristic transport within the park is done through a train running on gas – so that the impact on the environment is as low as possible – and this is how this train, now known as « little ecological train » was created. Tourists can use it without additional cost. There are schedules, and the train leaves from the main station to go to the « Garganta del Diablo » (devil’s throat), in about 18 minutes. Then, you can go on the walkways long of 1,200 metres to enjoy the most important waterfall of the falls, the « Garganta del Diablo ». We will arrive at the visitor centre and then take a transportation service that will drive us through the selva, to the place where we can enjoy the view on the falls. The vehicles allow us to admire the view dominated by the luxuriant subtropical vegetation. Once arrived, we can go on the different walkways and go to the mirador, from where we can enjoy an impressive view on the island San Martin and on the falls. This circuit is 1,200 metres long and has many stairs. There also is an elevator, which enable tourists to enjoy different viewpoints. We will walk for about three hours.
